If you are visiting this page, it is because school has been cancelled due to inclement weather. So, happy snow day! However, there is some work to be done so that we do not have to make the day up at the end of the school year. Seniors, this is going to be super important to you, because you are not going to want to push your graduation back! Remember we need 80% participation as a district to not have to make the day up.
Blizzard Bag Assignment:
I would like everyone to do a current event. Please find an article (local, national, or international) to read and reflect on. You need to print the article off, answer the questions on the Current Event sheet (in complete sentences), attach it to the Current Event Worksheet, and turn it into me the next day we return to school. This assignment should take you approximately 45 minutes to complete (between choosing the article, reading the article, and answering the questions).
Some good sources to find current events are: Keep in mind, you are not limited to just these websites, these are just suggestions. However, you do need to find reputable sources, not gossip sites!

If you do not have any power, you will be expected to find a current event in a newspaper. If you do not get the newspaper or have a neighbor that has one that you can borrow, please let me know ahead of time. This way, I can provide you with an article to take home prior to the anticipated snow day!
